MY STORY, MY PASSION
I have loved horses for as long as I can remember! I have poured my energy into learning all I can, from the vast subject of true horsemanship, to the pure principals of classical dressage, all of which inspire me each and every day. Today I ride and care for three very different horses. They have taught me to listen to their individual needs and to apply compassion in equal measure with my expectations. I am proud of the trust my horses share with me and I am eager to improve my riding, in order to achieve the finest communication skills possible. Dressage has given me a language to deepen this communication, and the wisdom of the Training Scale guides me every day in my persuit of higher goals. I have been truly blessed by parents who support my dreams of riding and training horses, and they have consistently found ways of providing me with the best mentors and working student positions available, not the least of which is Lendon Gray herself, the two time Olympian and founder of some of the most amazing educational equestrian programs in existence, specifically designed for youth dressage riders! I am proud to be one of Lendon's chosen Emerging Dressage Athletes :)
MY PARTNER 'FINO'

Through David De Wispelaere (Grand Prix trainer and another of my most inspiring mentors) and an amazingly fortunate turn of events, I am now riding the talented dressage gelding, Fino, a 15 yr old Rheinlander, who has been out of work for two years, but previously has trained and competed successfully through Intermediary I, with the international competitor, Betsy Steiner. He is truly a 'schoolmaster' and I look forward to all that we may learn and achieve together in Florida this winter and beyond!
A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPORTUNITY!!
I am deeply honored to have been selected for Lendon's Winter Intensive Training Program this year, out of so many applicants from across the United States. This program will include riding instruction from top international competitors as well as cover rider fitness, cross training, nutrition, sports psychology, media training, horse care and riding theory. The program runs for three months and is based in Wellington, FL, a world renowned center for equestrian competition during the winter months. For me, this program will provide life changing oportunities to further my career as a rider and trainer, and will help me greatly in becoming a well-rounded professional. The cost of the program itself is $2700 per month. This does not cover my own transportation, housing and meals, nor does it cover the cost of transportation for my horse, plus vetrenary, farrier and competition fees that will arise. I have been cautioned that services in FL are higher than elsewhere in the country and I expect the totality of this experience to incur costs between $18,000 -$20,000.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
This program is more than my family can fund alone and though I am working hard to help raise money along side, your financial support is greatly needed and immeasurably appreciated!!
Fino and I need a support team! As part of our support team, I pledge to not only fully dedicate myself to this program and to train whole heartedly, but to share the knowledge I gain through a weekly blog (with photos!) as well as directly with any future students I hope to gain as an equine professional.
Thank you in advance for your support, in any amount!
Sincerely, Sarah
