On Friday, March 8th at 10:55pm Eddie Alatorre passed away with his daughter Sarah and his beloved better-half Misty at his side and surrounded by 20 of his friends & family members.
Eddie was a loving father of five, with three adult children and two minors, 5 year old Luke and 17 year old Sarah. Together for 19 years, Ed and Misty built a beautiful and loving household, centered around their pride and joy, their children. His wonderful and kind soul is already so greatly missed by his family, all the while Misty works to help Sarah and Luke through a new normal without their beloved daddy being there for them daily.
Ed`s death was an unexpected and traumatic loss and is compounded by the finacial burden his two minor children are now in as he was the sole financial provider for their family at the time of his passing. Misty is blessed to have her parents offer to take them in while she finds a job and gets herself reestablished again however this entails relocating towards San Diego. While going through this life altering time of grief, their family will be forced to split apart. 17 year old Sarah is a senior at Temple City High School and co-president of the school's award winning Brighter Side theaterical ensemble. With Senior Prom, Graduation and GradNight scheduled in the next couple months, Sarah has decided to stay behind to finish her final 12 weeks of Senior year with a God sent loving family who generously offerred their home to her. Luke is the sweetest, funniest & biggest-little Prek'r I know who loves his La Rosa Elementary school family.
The kids basic needs are simple but immediate; every day items are now more difficult to acquire. Until all loose ends are tied up and social security takes effect, they have minimal ways to acquire the necessities they need to continue on with their lives in Temple City or abroad.
It's my hope to raise enough money to cover their current rent through June to keep them together as long as possible so Sarah can finish her senior year in her home with her mom and little brother -who just so happens to also be "her best friend" and Luke share his final days in pre-k with his class.
Please consider helping them take care of the necessities as they grieve their tremendous loss.
Respectfully,
Jennifer Pedraza
