This is my co-worker Sarah and to hear her tell you her 20's have had some sucky moments. She lost her mom suddenly in May 2018. But 2018 wasn't all bad as she also got engaged to her amazing fiancé Matt. However now flash forward to 2020 when Covid messes with your life and your wedding, which isn't going to be happening. Then one day during a monthly breast exam you find a lump - and then have a doctor visit, ultrasound, mammogram and biopsy to find out that its the worst thing that you can image at 27 and being told that it is CANCER. Then finding out you have to do 5-6 months of chemotherapy, you will lose your hair, and after that you are going to have to have surgery and that the option that decreases your chance of recurrence to almost 0% is a double mastectomy! I'm don't know about you but I'm ready to have an alcoholic beverage for her. Now all joking aside, Sarah is going to try and work through the chemotherapy portion of treatment, but it is going to take its toll and may not work out, in addition it is expensive even with insurance and there are still bills that need to be paid. So I am starting this go fund me to help Sarah out during this time and I am hoping that you will help me out as well. She is a funny, bubbly, friend who makes me laugh, cry, and I am now more than ever wanting to wrap in a hug even though social distancing will tell me that is not appropriate. So I am doing what I can, I am here for her emotionally and this is my way to try and help her financially as well.
