Please help Sarah after losing Brian to cancer

Hi, my name is Sarah and my husband, Brian Hunter, passed away from cancer January 1, 2024, while in the hospital. He was expected to come home on hospice but his poor body gave out before that could happen.

We were going to get his affairs in order, but he got rushed to hospital by ambulance before that could happen, and stayed in the hospital until the day he passed.

He didn’t have a will yet, but honestly he didn’t have anything of monetary value except some money in his bank account and the car that’s titled in his name only. I will have to show paperwork and pay transfer fees for the car title and get new car insurance in my name. I will have to file an affidavit to hopefully have access to his bank account. His “estate “ is small, hopefully won’t have to go through probate.

I have taken a lot of time off work to care for him these past 20 months and haven’t worked since he’s been in hospital which was mid-December.

I am out on bereavement leave, which is unpaid.

I need help with bills and food costs.

I appreciate any help and am so thankful.
