Sarah needs our help
Donation protected
On Sunday, our darling Sarah - daughter, twin sister, partner, best friend and family member was in a freak bicycle accident, injuring her spine. A fractured C5 vertebrae and an incomplete spinal cord tear required a complicated emergency surgery, to stabilise her neck and back. On a positive note, she is now awake, breathing on her own, and able to move her arms. The medical team are unable to tell us how much function, if any, she will regain in the lower half of her body. She is in the best hands at the best spinal facility in Australia, with her family and partner Ella by her side. It’s a long road ahead for her, but her immense strength and optimism, along with the love and support of her amazing friends and family will help pull her through.
Yesterday, at a meeting with the social worker, Sarah’s family were asked what type of person Sarah is and how she handles things when faced with adversity. We all looked at each other and proudly and unitedly explained that she is the most selfless, caring, uplifting and inspiring angel who will always put others before her. One word that I’ve heard many people that know and love her describe her as the most is STRONG.
We are looking to remove the financial burden for Sarah and her family during this time. We need your help. Any donation possible will be greatly appreciated and put to the ongoing rehab for Sarah.
