Hi everyone my name Sarah, I have kidney disease and I am in dire need of a kidney..
Blood type : O+
Now that we got that out of the way I’d like to share a bit about the journey I am currently on.
Ten years ago I was diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Oral Digital Facial syndrome. Little did I know this diagnosis was about to change my life.
My whole life I had so many complications. I was born with a clef palate, my teeth never formed or grew in correctly and for years I under went corrective surgeries.
I always thought this was just me.
At the age of 20 when I received this diagnosis it just made so much sense. there was finally a answer to so many unanswered things.
With this diagnosis also came a lot of scary things, that now became my reality.
1-250,000 people are born with this disease each year. Making it rare and hard to find a doctor who understands how this syndrome impacts my kidneys.
July 29th, I was officially put on the kidney donor list and in the coming months I will begin dialysis. Being told your body is failing you is a hard and emotional journey and one that is evolving each day.
Every month roughly 94,000 people are added to the donor list and that now this includes me. Each year 16 people die waiting for a kidney and that will NOT be me!
That is why I am asking for everyone’s help and support in any way that I can! Getting the word out there, donating, praying, good vibes, thoughts whatever works I am asking for.

Unfortunately getting a new kidney can take up to 6 years, that is why I am in search of a living donor.
