My name is Alison. I am raising funds for a memorial bench and event for my beautiful sister, Sarah, who lost her battle with blood cancer in July at the age of 48. The bench will be a place where people can go to remember her. It will be located in a place where she made lots of joyful memories with her family and friends. Myself and a group of friends are running the carsington 10k/half marathon in December to help raise this money.

UPDATE: We completed the Carsington 10k/ half marathon in freezing conditions today in memory of Sarah. It was emotional but amazing to see so many people running for her. I just hope she's looking down, feeling the love from us all and knowing that she would have outrun us all if she had been here.

Update 9th Jan: the bench has been ordered by the Parish Council. I will post again when we have an installation date.
