In true “when it rains, it pours” fashion, Sarah “One T” Mathews, has breast cancer. Sarah was recently diagnosed with stage 3, triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. The universe has already handed her a rough year, but she is taking this newest and dumbest challenge in stride.

Sarah is already in treatment, and working on kicking cancer’s ass, while making everyone uncomfortable with her dark humor. Chemotherapy is underway, but she’s looking at least 6 months of treatment that includes surgery and radiation.

Sarah is feeling good now, but there is a long road ahead and she'll definitely be missing days at work. While Sarah has insurance and caring friends, family, and colleagues, we all know how outright wild it is to be a relatively healthy adult in the world of U.S. medicine. Having cancer is EXPENSIVE. We're starting this fundraiser to help Sarah tackle those bills, buy things she'll need for recovery, pay for wigs to keep her vanity in check, and provide meals for her and Charlie when they need a break and someone else to do the cooking.
