Let's Bring Real News Back!

I'm an Emmy winning reporter who has been fighting to bring underreported news to mainstream media. And now I want to create a space where everyone is seen and heard, through a current affairs program that covers everyone. For example, if we're talking about voting rights during the pandemic, why aren't we discussing how people who are also blind are voting. If we're discussing the economy or geopolitics why can't the economist or geopolitical analyst happen to be an amputee or be deaf. If we're talking about war we should be hearing directly from our veterans. I firmly believe every individual has a story and that there are no voiceless people we just all need to be seen and heard. And the media plays a major role in this.

I won’t be the only story teller I want to hire other reporters who reflect the community we serve. This is an example of the type of stories we’ll cover

I've had this show idea for 11 years and after being told "no one cares about those people" or that topic for the last 13 years, my frustration turned into making that dream a reality.
My dream is to get this current affairs program on a streaming service. Right now I'm keeping costs low because I can film, edit, produce etc. But my dream is to hire reporters who are from all walks of life. And it's not like the reporter who is in a wheelchair will only be reporting on disabilities, they can cover anything. Long term goal would also be to provide mentoring and training, because journalism is really one of those careers you learn by being out in the field. I want the team to be as diverse as the community we serve.

What We Need & What You Get

Funding to cover storytelling costs (travel costs to tell the stories, I'm starting locally and cutting costs by being a on man band). I'm also looking at it as every donation even it's 10 cents is a vote that you would watch and want this program. Each vote will help me sell this idea to a streaming service. Also I want you to be a part of a product that is servicing you! This is a team effort!
