Sarah “Strong.” Join Her Fight Against Cancer

Hi, I’m Sarah Jackson’s aunt. Just FYI, she had that same contagious giggle when she was a toddler too. A few months ago she started having pain in her back and about a month ago got the horrible diagnosis of cancer.
Four years ago she was “successfully” treated for cervical cancer and has been cancer free, according to her follow ups. Some of it was hiding in her body and has now made a wicked return. It is in many places in her body, and very painful.
Over the years, Sarah has helped out anybody and everybody she could, if you are her friend, you already know that. She has given financially, taken people in, and done just about anything she could to help a person in need. She has been instrumental in the successful re-homing of more dogs than we have count of. Either shipping them or driving them across country herself.
She cried at the thought of even being on the receiving end of help with this. Her added costs are becoming overwhelming. Thank the Lord, she does have good insurance, but there are co-pays that have added up, and will continue to. They need an accessible second bathroom put in too. It is already getting difficult for Sarah to use the one that is already there. She also has added costs for care for her daughter, 14 year old Leigh, and the dogs she has taken in. Her mom, my sister Donna, is stepping in, as a mother would, and helping her a lot, and her costs are becoming insurmountable too. Sarah’s brother, Jason, has been and still is a great help to Sarah. She also has a community of relatives and friends who love her and are there for her.
If we can all just do a little, or a lot if you are able, it would be such a blessing to someone who has done so much for others. Sarah, it’s your turn to be blessed. Some of her bills are the co-pays, helpful medical equipment, specialized food, added gas usage, increased energy usage that will get worse when winter hits. Right now, the only thing that helps take the edge off of her pain is a hot bath, so she does that 3-4 times a day.
Soon, Sarah will start chemo and the doctors speculate that it will help a little with shrinking the tumors, and giving her a bit more time. Sadly, they do not have a lot of hope about any surgery or type of removal. It is on her spine, hip, and ribs.
We all need to pray daily for Sarah to get a miracle from God. Personally, I have seen these types of miracles, and am looking for another one for Sarah. Also, pray for her spiritual and mental wellbeing during this time. Her loved ones also need prayer, Donna(her mom), Leigh(her daughter), Jason(her brother), and all of us other relatives and friends who want to do all that we can to show our love for Sarah.
