After applying for hundreds of jobs, exhausting my unemployment benefits, and being denied SNAP assistance, I am now at imminent risk of losing my housing. I have contacted Catholic Charities and am currently on a waiting list, and I have submitted an application for Emergency Assistance through DSS. At this point, I am in a holding pattern, but unfortunately, my landlord is no longer able to wait, and I expect eviction proceedings to begin imminently.

I am currently relying on child support and food pantries to meet basic needs. I have exhausted my savings and every other resource available to me. I am at the point where I genuinely do not know what else I can do.

I have fought incredibly hard over the past year to rebuild our lives after becoming a single mother and leaving an abusive situation. I made it out of domestic violence, kept a roof over my children's heads, and did everything I could to remain financially stable while searching for employment. I do not want everything I have worked so hard to rebuild to be lost because I have reached the end of the resources available to me.

I don't have a financial safety net or family resources to fall back on. I don't come from wealth, and I don't have a backup plan. I have been doing everything I can to keep my children safe, housed, and cared for. Right now, I am facing the possibility of homelessness and the devastating consequences that could have for my family.

I am asking for help because I have reached a point where I cannot do this alone. I am not looking for a handout—I am asking for a bridge that will allow me to keep my housing and my children while I continue working toward employment and stability. I have three second-round job interviews scheduled and am actively working with an employment agency, so I remain hopeful that this situation is temporary. I just need enough support to get through this period and protect the stability I have fought so hard to build.

Last week, I lost my job. I was and continue to be in the middle of mono, along with various new and chronic autoimmune illness, and am struggling to get better. I love what I do - losing my job without any warning, it just about broke me.

I am a single mom to my two babies. I'm working with Fearless because NONE OF THIS was supposed to happen. But it did and when I was least ready.

Paperwork is being filled out for disability, unemployment, and SSI benefits. I went from being comfortably employed to having $20 to my name.

I made my rent for October, but I won't be able to in November. I'm embarrassed, totally leveled, and just trying to stay awake...much less stay afloat.

We need help getting through, until benefits (which are hopefully approved) kick in. Until I'm well enough to go back to work. We just need time.

I knew it would be hard, and I wouldn't take it back for a second. I'd rather struggle out loud than struggle in silence.
