The Sarah Good Foundation (SGF) was formed in memory of Sarah Good, aka, Keri Haas, who passed away from breast cancer in February, 2018. Sarah graduated North Kingstown High, class of ’83 and Rhode Island School of Design, class of ’87. Sarah was an incredibly talented artist and an entrepreneur whose vibrant life impacted our world in a unique and beautiful way. She was a multi-talented artist, fashion designer, sculptor, jeweler and costume mistress. She was a yoga student, ballet dancer, dog lover and talented singer/musician fronting her well know band The Goods. Soon after college Sarah began her career as a successful entrepreneur. From her early twenties, she owned and operated numerous businesses including a fashion design and production company, Sarah Good Designs, and later as a purveyor of vintage gems and jewels sold around the world, Red’s Vintage Stuff.
The Sarah Good Foundation’s initial goal is to raise funds for an annual award, to be granted to a female, artist, entrepreneur who demonstrates the qualities that Sarah embodied: talent, vision, work ethic and a plan on how to start and operate a small business. The first $5000 award will be presented at this year's Sarah Good Foundation Fundraising Concert event on June 23 @ Nick-a-Nees -75 South St. Providence, RI. The concert will feature seven local bands starting at 2pm.
