Early Saturday morning, our beloved Sarah Gleason lost her home and business in a heartbreaking fire. Sarah’s restaurant Lucky Rivers Cafe was destroyed along with her apartment above. Sarah was able to escape with only her purse and two sweet cats.

Sarah Gleason and Lucky Rivers Cafe have been bright lights in the Hinton, WV community. Sarah was just named one of WV Living Magazine’s 2025 WV Wonder Women for her role as a community leader. She has worked endlessly to make sure that Lucky River’s Cafe was more than an incredible restaurant- it was a space that highlights & supports local artists, musicians, farmers and small businesses.

Sarah has supported our community in so many ways and now she needs our support. Please consider donating to help ease some of her stress and give her a way to move forward. Donations will be given to Sarah to rebuild her life, the future of Lucky Rivers is uncertain at this time.
