My name is Emma.

My little sister Sarah died from devastating head and brain injury after being hit by a lorry on the A20 in Kent on July 9th. She was airlifted to Kings College Hospital and was sadly pronounced brain dead. She leaves behind four children, nieces, nephews, and many more people who grew up with her and loved her.

Sarah and I never had it easy, our shared history was deeply affected by tragedy after tragedy. We lost both parents to suicide and after everything she went through, I believe Sarah deserves a beautiful funeral which is why we have chosen a natural burial in a beautiful meadow on the edge of the Cotswolds. Her children deserve to attend a dignified service. Sarah was a light to everyone she met, we have received so many heartwarming messages from people who knew her. Thank you to everyone who loved her.

Sarah was an organ doner. When her time of death was confirmed, Saturday 11th July at 14:30 her organs were donated and she saved four people. Her light will continue to shine, but from within others.

Edd Frost and Daughters are looking after us and Sarahs resting place will be at the Sun Rising Nature and Burial Grounds in the Cotswold. A peaceful meadow.

To explain why we are asking for help with costs, my partner and I had a car accident after a deer ran out on us a couple of months ago, his car was destroyed. He was a delivery driver for Dominos. He lost his car and his job on the same day and we have been running household costs at this time on my single wage alone which has been more than challenging. We are unable to afford the most basic of funerals.

My social circle is very small but I know a lot of people grew up with us, and loved Sarah too, that I am unable to reach. Although Sarah made friends and loved in Kent, she lived alone and spent life going through things that probably made her feel very alone aswell. This is why we would like to invite Sarahs close friends and loved ones to the service so please share this GoFundMe as notice and so we can get as many donations as possible.

Please note: This will not be an open service. Please contact me on Facebook or personally to let me know if you would like to come. I need exact numbers for the eventual day.

Costs which we are desperately trying to keep to a minimum are included in my updates below (with invoice pictured)

Summary of costs £4000

  • Sun Rising Burial Ground £1945
  • Edd Frost £1320
  • Coffin from Willow.com £383.99
