Hello, my name is Sarah and I recently became unemployed very unexpectedly. I lost my job in January and have yet to find find work or receive any unemployment benefits as my EDD account was hacked and my benefits intercepted.

Most people that know me know that I try at all costs not to ask for help or handouts and will typically at all costs try to dig myself out of a hole on my own but I’m afraid in this situation I do need your help.

The job I accepted a little over a year ago didn’t pan out as promised and as a result over the course of last year I depleted my entire savings as well as maxed out my credit. Losing the job unexpectedly, I was not prepared financially or mentally but have been trying my very best to stay afloat.

I have applied now to almost 40 jobs but am afraid that in the meantime we will be very close to losing everything. I feel like a failure and I truly hate to ask for help but I am a single mom and have to put my pride aside for my family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.
