Sarah Davey, Borneo expedition 2025

Hello, my name is Sarah Davey and I'm 14 years old. I go to school at the Clarendon Academy in the Uk. I have been extremely lucky to have the opportunity to go to Borneo for 4 weeks in the summer of 2025. During these 4 weeks me and other pupils from my school will stay with 4 local communities to see and experience the true impacts of climate change. Whilst we are there, we will get stuck into community projects such as; refurbishing local buildings, installing water supply and storage systems, building classrooms and many other small jobs to help out. Our aim is to make the biggest positive impact on the community as possible. We’ll focus on the environment too, with beach clean ups and tree planting – all helping to reduce the mass effect of climate change on such a tropical area. My trip and all of the community projects are self-funded by the pupils going. Over the next 2 years I need to raise £5,000. As you can imagine, this will be a tough journey but will 100% be worth it seeing what the funds will be used for. If you could spare a couple of pounds to sponsor me, it would mean the world and give me the opportunity to go on the journey of a lifetime.
