My name is Sarah Chappel, Iam 19 and have been playing soccer (both indoor & outdoor) since i was 9 years old.
I have been selected in the Australian Women's Futsal Team to travel to Barcelona and play in the World Cup In November,2017.
To reach selection for the team, I competed in the FAF National Championship , Adelaide in January 2017.
Where I made the Allstar Team and was asked to attend the trials for the Australian Women's Futsal Squad.
Having this opportunity to Play for Australia has been an ongoing dream and finally I have achieved that after attending a 3 day training Camp and being selected in the team..
Playing soccer has taught me a lot and has allowed me to grow as a person both on and off the pitch, It has given me the opportunity to meet many talented and wonderful people while at the same time allow me to play my favourite sport and reach personal goals.
My soccer knowledge has given me the opportunity to Coach, along with Refereeing at competitions and recently at Nationals.
To play at this level it comes at a cost, unfortunately Women's Futsal doesn't have a lot of Funding available.
I would be extremely grateful for any contribution (whether $5,$10 or $20) towards helping me play at World Cup in Barcelona.
