Sarah (Lindahl) and Matt Celski

Many of you know Matt and Sarah (Lindahl) Celski... and if you don’t, you should. They are two of the most compassionate and kind people I know. I’ve been lucky enough to call Sarah my best friend since 8th grade! She is selfless, hard-working, bubbly, and just one giant hug filled with love! Matt is a great dad, husband, brother, coach and wears so many other hats, and he wears them all well! The two of them together can and have pushed through many struggles, but this one is proven to be the biggest, so I’m asking for your help to help them!
Some of you may be aware that Sarah has been struggling with back issues, and had been unable to work. She is now back to work, but only part-time (enough to keep their health insurance) as that’s all her back will allow for now. She shows up, but it’s a painful struggle, but she’s a nurse, and as nurses do, they put their patients needs before their own. She doesn’t have short-term disability and she’s exhausted all of her PTO. Even though she won’t admit it, I’m sure finances have been tough on the family. However, as they always do, they’ve pressed on.
Unfortunately, life has thrown them yet another curve. Matt was diagnosed with strep throat last Thursday. He started medication, but was not improving so Sarah took him back in on Friday. This time he was given iv fluids and steroids. Saturday came and he wasn’t feeling better, but he wasn’t worse either. He decided it would be best not to go out to dinner for Nate’s birthday. By the time Sarah and the kids arrived home, Matt was struggling to breath. Sarah rushed him back to the hospital where he was admitted to ICU and has been there ever since. His airway was so closed that they had to do a tracheotomy and he is currently on a ventilator. It seams that when one thing starts to improve another issue arises. A long road is to come for he and his family.
While not all details are known at this time, it is known that this family needs our help! Please do what you can to help this awesome family, even if we can ease just a bit of their financial burden!
Thank you and please keep Matt, Sarah, Izzy, and Nate in your prayers!
