Sara Williams’ Family

On September 2nd, Sara Williams suffered bilateral pulmonary embolisms caused by clots formed in her leg dislodging and moving through her heart into her lungs. It is believed that the mixture of May-Thurner Syndrome and Covid have caused this terrible, near fatal event. Sara is currently in the Cardiac ICU at Baptist Health in Lexington. She has endured three life-saving and quality-of-life-improving surgeries. She is now stable. A true miracle!! God’s favor is upon my sweet sister.

There is a chance the cardio thoracic team will decide to go back in and remove the clots from her lungs, we are waiting to hear their decision. She has a new stent in a vein in her abdomen, on new medications, and will need to rest for several months.

As most of you know, Sara recently went back to school to become a cosmetology instructor. Together as a family, they decided to live on Dustin’s income while they get Sara through school. Since this nightmare took place, Dustin has been at Sara’s side, only leaving to go back to Mt. Vernon to see their children. As you can imagine, missing work while also spending astronomical amounts on food and gas can devastate a young family. Many of you have asked how you can help, so we are opening this opportunity up in hopes of surprising Sara and Dustin with the blessing of financial relief. This will help keep their energy and focus on getting Sara better, which is what we all want so badly.
