Sara Wheaton Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Dear Friends, It is with heavy heart that we share news of the passing of our dear friend, Sara Wheaton. Sara was hit by a pickup truck on her birthday, Sunday morning before 8am while standing at a cross-walk waiting to walk her bike across the street. She experienced severe head trauma and brain injury and was unresponsive from the time she was taken from the scene; she was declared deceased following extensive brain response testing yesterday (6-12) evening. Thank you for donating to help cover the costs of the funeral, as this is already an incredibly challenging chapter in the Wheatons lives. If you are the praying type, please pray for Glenn, Elise, Charlotte, and Jonathan who just lost their beautiful wife/mother in such a tragic and unexpted way. Glenn shared these beautiful words after Sara's passing: Sara is my wife of 23 years, mother of Elise, Charlotte, and Jonathan. She was my childhood crush and my partner in life. She loved warm tea, hiking in beautiful places, classical music, and a good book. She had a fantastic mind and was tough to argue with. She loved camping, taking pictures, and an ordered home. She was also a firecracker and experienced things deeply; both good and bad. She always sought to make people around her happy and cared for. She did this consistently for me and the kids. She spent the last few years bringing kids to school, piano lessons, violin lessons, soccer practice, drama rehearsals, dance lessons, youth group events, voice lessons, and concerts. It was hard for me to even keep track of her calendar. But somehow, she made it run smoothly and gave our kids a love of God, music, the outdoors, and beauty. I miss her a lot and wish she was here. I do not know how I will raise three children without her. I know that she is with the Lord Jesus; free from pain, sorrow, and sin. I know that He will care for her far better than I ever could. I rest in the confidence that she will be waiting for me in God's presence when I arrive. A memorial service is being planned (tentatively for next weekend - June 23-25th - details to follow).
