~Sara Ries~ Memorial & Family Fund

Dear Friends and Family,

 

Our beloved Sara Elizabeth Ries died unexpectedly due to Covid-19 complications, on October 20th, 2021. She worked as an RN in Soldotna, Alaska and lived with her brother (Phil), sister-in-law, (Chrissy) and their children, (Jacob-13, Madeline-10, Amelia-8, Isaac-4, and Ezekiel-almost 2.)

 

I am staring this GoFundMe in hopes to help support the Ries family during this difficult time and help them cover expenses. Sara and Phil’s parents live in Wisconsin, sister Danielle lives in Montana, and need to travel here to be with family. We hope that decreasing the financial burden will allow her family to focus on grieving.

 

Sara was such a big part of this community. She lived in Sterling, Alaska, and worked as Labor & Delivery nurse at Central Peninsula hospital since 2018. Sara had the biggest heart, and cared so much for everyone. She LOVED her job and was nothing short of amazing. Her friends, coworkers, patients…everyone absolutely adored her. Those who were blessed to have known Sara, can feel an emptiness in the world without her.

 

Those who didn’t know Sara’s family, felt as if they did. She was always talking about them. Updates on her nieces and nephews, fun things they did on the daily, showing everyone photos, planning her next visit to see her Mom and Dad, and the list goes on.

 

As you can imagine, her family is struggling immensely with the loss of “Auntie Sara.” Her family was her whole world. Anything you can donate would be appreciated beyond words.

 

The Ries family wants to thank everyone for all the love and support. When this community comes together, it’s something truly special.
