Sara Peggs-Jeter Strong fundraiser for Sara.

Hi everyone, we are raising funds for Sara Peggs-Jeter. In July of 2021 Sara started experiencing major migraines. She had been seen by a neurologist and they took MRI which didn’t show much at that time. She has been under treatment for migraines since then until last week when she endured a fall, then experienced stroke like symptoms on Thursday and again Friday morning. Bill immediately evaluated her symptoms and took her straight to the local hospital. They did an MRI on her were they found two tumors on her head. She was immediately transported to Chapel Hill for further evaluation. Her excellent team of doctors jumped right on this and she underwent surgery Monday where they removed one tumor and took a biopsy of the larger mass/tumor. Those were sent to pathology.
She is expected to come home today or tomorrow but she has a long recovery and more tests and follow ups to come.
For those that do not know the Jeter’s complete story, it really starts back in July of 2013. Bill has suffered from sinus issues himself. He has had a total of 16 surgeries to remove growing tissue in his frontal sinuses. Finally a centimeter size tumor was removed and a cancerous tumor on his thyroid was removed in 2021.
The Jeter’s are still paying medical bills from these past issues and now this has put a financial strain on the family.
Friends of Bill and Sara are coming together to put this GoFundMe together to help them as they need your support for travel expenses, hotel expenses medical bills, and additional treatment.
Anything you can do is greatly appreciated to help ease the pressure and financial burden.
