Sara Harf Recovery Fund
Donation protected
On Thursday evening, November 4th, Sara Harf was at home with her kids when she had a seizure. She had a second seizure en route to the hospital where she was admitted to the ICU for a brain bleed. It was later found that an AVM had burst in her brain which most likely had been there since birth. Sara was transferred to UVA where she had surgery last Saturday to repair the large bleed and will have more extensive neurosurgery again Friday, November 12th. The recovery time for this is months long. Sara will be unable to work for the forseeable future, and her husband Terry is now out of vacation days from his own job. He has been staying with her at UVA through all of this. They will be facing outrageous medical bills soon and have three daughters at home and one in college at the moment. They could really use our help.
Sara is a first grade teacher at Forest Elementary School and absolutely adores kids. If your child was blessed to have her as a teacher, you know what we mean. She has a gift for educating little ones and loves them like her own. She is an extraordinary woman with a heart of gold and you will not meet better people than the Harf family. Please, if you can, donate to help them through this trying time of life. Any amount helps! Thanks, everyone!!
