Sara Gabel - Service Dog Fund

Donation protected
Sara has reached a point with her disease where she needs a service dog to help her live her life day to day, but is unable to afford the cost of training for her dog. Sara lives in a care home and needs a dog to help with things like moving around, picking things up for her, getting medical help when needed, and being an emotional support.

If you could donate any amount that would be much appreciated and if not your prayers and thoughts of support are equally appreciated. If you could leave a note with a memory or a few words for Sara it would mean the world. <3

More about Sara:
I think we all remember Sara Gabel from high school as the girl who always had a smile on her face and was constantly laughing. I bet few of you even knew that she was diagnosed with Muscle Dystrophy at the age of 13 and was told she would live until about the age of 26. She is a fighter and has worked so hard on her health to make it where she is now.

In high school she needed assistance to get from class to class and she has been in a wheelchair now for several years. She lives with constant and debilitating pain, but despite all of that every time you see her she is upbeat and smiling. Despite her challenges, Sara has been an advocate for other victims of MD for years. She volunteers and fundraises with the Muscle Dystrophy Association.

A little bit about Muscle Dystrophy:
Muscle dystrophy has no cure and attacks and weakens the nervous system and the heart. It slowly breaks the muscles down completely and affects the structure in the brain that helps plan and coordinate movements. Sara’s version of muscle dystrophy drastically shortens life spans.
