Please help me in representing the USA at the 2019 Telemark World Championships!!!
This year I have been fortunate enough to be reselected to represent the USA on the National Telemark Ski Team. This is now my 5th season skiing on the team!
It has always been a dream of mine to compete in the Olympics and unfortunately this past summer the IOC voted Telemark racing down , so at this point I will continue to ski race but that Olympic dream may never come true. However, the World Cup races that are held in Europe every year are the highest level of racing for Telemark skiing and this year the World Championships are being held in Rjukan, Norway.
Seeing as I may never get this opportunity again, I have decided to go for it and race against the best of the best and represent the USA at the World Championships!!! I will be the only female competitor from the US. I have put a lot into my training this year and have seen some major improvements so I know that this would be a great time to just go for it!
Although I have some wonderful sponsors, I am not given any financial support to race. I have covered the cost of my plane ticket (~$1400), however I am asking for your support to help cover the cost of the entry fee ($670), transportation to and from the airport to the ski venue in Rjukan (~$200), and the approximate amount needed to help cover meal costs outside of my entry fee (~$130). For a total fundraising goal of $1000.
