On June 11th Sara was hospitalized due to a stroke, and she was also subsequently diagnosed with Colitis. Her overall condition initially improved, and she was transferred to a rehab hospital for physical therapy. Unfortunately, Sara then suffered a series of setbacks including a serious infection which necessitated a period of time in ICU on a ventilator as well as the beginning of kidney dialysis. During placement of the permanent dialysis port, an artery was nicked requiring the doctors to open her chest and make emergency repairs. Thankfully, Sara is making small improvements and is once again able to be placed in a regular hospital room. Because of the weeks in ICU and extended time of illness, Sara has exhausted her paid time off and could use help from her TDS Family. She is a single mother with no family in town other than 1 adult child. Any aid we can give her would be greatly appreciated, and we all hope Sara continues to recover with no additional setbacks.
