Hi friends and family. A group of teachers at Lake Superior Elementary and I are reaching out to raise money for Sara and her family. In June of this year, Sara was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. After countless doctor appointments in both Duluth and Rochester’s Mayo Clinic, she is ready to begin chemo this week. As many of you know, Sara has just switched school districts to be part of her children’s district, so this diagnosis is catching her between 3 different insurance programs, each with their own deductibles and fees. We are hoping to help ease the stress and burden of all the expenses that come with fighting this disease - medical bills, trips to Rochester, hotels, gas, etc. All who know Sara know what a kind, giving, gentle person she is, and most of us have been touched many times over with her kindness.
