On December 8th, 2020 my Father, Pat was hospitalized for COVID 19. He has been in the ICU since then. My Mother, Pam has also been at home with COVID as well. They both were supposed to move by the end of December due to the end of their lease, but now things are so up in the air due to their diagnosis's. My dad has been fighting this virus, but right now is hooked up to High Flow oxygen, IV's and getting medicines to help get better. As a whole our family has been pretty scared about whats going on, but we know that our dad is going to fight to get better! As a veteran with over 30 years in service, he has fought much bigger things than this virus, and we know he can get better with the proper treatment and recovery time. He has been in the ICU for about 4 or 5 days now, and when he gets out is up in the air as well. I, Samantha, have flown down from PA to help take care of things at home, and make sure that mom is getting help at home too. My mom not only is trying to recover from the virus but is also dealing with a lot of anxiety with my dad being in the hospital and how things will go. This is going to be a pretty long recovery both financially and physically for everyone. I decided to start this goFundme to try to help recoup some of the possible hospital costs and fees, as well as moving fees, and whatever else is needed at this point. I am in contact with the VA as I type this trying to get things covered, but I am not sure how that will go. We as a family appreciate any and all help that has been given already.
