Cremation Costs and Memorial

My spouse of 30 years just passed away from a long time combination of liver disease, kidney damage and difficult-to-control diabetes. In retrospect, the decline started a few years ago, but it was so slow and it seemed she was always bouncing back from the latest hospital visit. Until, that is, the last one. No coming back from the May 6 visit. It was a gut punch all the way down to the bedrock of my soul. She was first offered palliative care, but soon relaized that hospice was the only option. She was only 64! I don't know too many people who plan that young to have funeral expenses. I am a retired teacher, so not exactly ready for a large expense like a funeral. Just a few months ago, I used what savings I did have for a different family emergency. I am now asking for donations to be able to afford a basic cremation, which is like $2500 -$3000. Please find it in your heart to help me out. It's my final act of love for her.
