lost a month of income to ✨covid✨

Hi! My name’s Em and I’m fundraising to help manage the loss of income I’ve experienced this month due to my first covid infection’s slow recovery process. I have never stopped masking in public, but catching this virus is simply inevitable. I did not expect to be disabled by covid for the majority of the month!

I’m a small business owner, and proud to be a part of the trans and LGBTQIA+ business community. It’s just me and my little cleaning company that pays the bills. Unfortunately that also means if I don’t work, I don’t earn. April was meant to be my highest earning month of the year (spring cleaning season!) but with this illness hitting me as hard as it did, I’m now behind on all of my expenses - and have exhausted other avenues to stay fed and keep the bills paid.

Another upcoming expense I am fundraising here for is work on my car’s brakes - something I had hoped to save a good amount for this month, which inevitably did not happen. Without my car functioning safely, I am also unable to fulfill my cleaning appointments.

I have never fundraised like this before! I suppose we all reach a point where we have to set the pride aside and ask for help. I appreciate anyone willing to help get me back on stable tracks after this illness. May we live in a world where a few-week illness doesn’t throw our whole lives so far off the rails someday.
