Sanya Children's Orphanage

Hello, my name is Stewart Fanning. I am from Perth Western Australia.

I am setting up this GoFundMe to help my dear friend Felix and his partner to raise finances so that they can feed, clothe and care for the children of their orphanage in Kenya

It has been a couple of years now that I have been developing a friendship, repour, trust and understanding of Felix and his partners mission to care for the orphaned children that get brought to them from neighbouring villages.

I have been donating money, regularly, when I can to help Felix provide food and basic necessities for the children.

Quite often they run out of food and the children go hungry, or at times they may need money for medical or school supplies and sometimes emergencies.

Donors come and go but I have stayed with them these past few years providing what little assistance I can financially, including during times when I have been have been struggling financially aswell.

In these moments it brought me great joy internally to know that I was helping feed children that were without food and offering some relief to Felix and his partner, even if only temporarily.

It's been heart breaking to feel the burden, struggles and pressures that they all go through in their daily lives. Felix will often be hesitant to ask for money, himself feeling the heaviness of leaning on me too much.

To be honest, I would rather him ask me than not. It feels good to know that I can send some money and these children will have some food in their bellies, for the next few days at least..

As Felix puts out the call, dedicating time and effort to reaching out to others, befriending and searching for new people to offer charity and grace, at times unfortunately the constraints of differing countries systems complicate the simple process of us gifting financial assistance.

That's why in this instance he has asked me to setup this GoFundMe on his behalf so that people in some parts of the world who can't easily donate via particular systems can have another avenue, such as this.

The method I have been sending him money directly is via an app called Remitly, which is super simple, effective and with minimal transfer fees.

But as he shared lately, some countries don't use that app, and in Kenya unfortunately they don't have GoFundMe setup.

So in this mission of creating the New Earth together, I invite you to step up, lean in and offer whatever financial assistance you are willing to provide to help these orphaned children and their care givers some relief and assistance (and at the very least, some food).

This is my first time ever setting one of these up, and I'm definitely no tech wizard, but safe to say that 100% of what ever is donated will be transferred to Sanya Childrens Home.

If you would like documentation as evidence then no problem at all. I just need to use this first to see how it works, then screen shots of direct Transfer to Felix can be provided and even better I can help connect you to him directly.
