On September 16, 1997, Santino Valentin Perez was born to the delight of his parents Roberto and Katherene. Restless nights soon came after, as any new born baby often produces. Though exhausting those early days, months, and years may have been, his smiles and laughter rewarded mom and dad every single moment that they shared with him.
And it was mom and dad’s love and guidance, and the love from his extended family, step-mom Claudia Perez, step-dad Gilberto Negrete, siblings, and friends that nurtured him throughout his years. It is this love that made him the wonderful young man he became. It is this love that those who knew him will need to hold onto forever… For on a rainy day in November 2016, at the young age of 19, Santino Perez left this world.
Thrilled to have started his new job in San Francisco, Santino eagerly went to work so he could save his earnings to buy presents for his family and friends this coming Christmas. It was during the early morning hours of Sunday, November 27th while driving home from work that inclement weather and a tragic set of circumstances conspired to end a beautiful life, entirely too soon.
To Santino’s family and friends, no words can be said to lessen the pain of your loss. We share with you not only profound grief, but also the hope and promise of one day being reunited with our loved ones in the next life.
So as to help Santino’s family with the burden of unforeseen funeral expenses, his close family friends have set up this gofundme account so that they may pool their love and provide the family with a token of their support and affection. Services scheduled for Santino are as follows:
Viewing of Santino lying in repose will be on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Santos-Robinson Mortuary located at 160 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro, CA. Viewing hours will begin at 1:00 p.m., with rosary prayer commencing at 6:00 p.m.
Holy mass celebrating Santino’s life will be on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Leander Church located at 550 W. Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro, CA. Holy mass will commence at 9:30 a.m., with funeral procession following immediately thereafter to Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
Cedar Lawn Cemetery is located at 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA.
