Hi friends and Family! I am creating this Gofund me on behalf of my sweet Friend and her family❤️

       Santiago Jose Reyes-Savala was born Monday, January 17th, Weighing only 4lbs 4oz! He was also diagnosed with Trisomy 18(Edwards syndrome). This is a conditiom where there are 3 copies instead of 2 of her 18th chromosome which comes with several health conditions that may arise as they continue on through this sweet boys life. With this diagnosis, we have to understand that His time with us is unknown and we want Mimi to be as close to him, and with him as long as she can while he is staying there, which unfortunately means she cannot work as of right now. As a new mom, and being so young, it has been very hard for her and her sweet boy.

      He currently has oxygen to help him breathe, a feeding tube to help him eat, a tube in his belly to help regulate his sugar levels, which all intel’s a NICU stay until he is ready to go home! Santiago is defying all odds, and is doing well right now, and His mom is doing everything in her power to advocate for him, and get all necessary treatments and doctor visits he needs! She has amazing guidance by her faith, her family, friends, and her NICU team at Mercy!! We are all taking things day by day, and are hopeful in his homecoming soon.
