Santee Football CIF Rings

For the first time in school history, the Santee Football Team has won a CIF Championship. As a coach and teacher at Santee Education Complex in South LA, I witness the struggle our kids go through on a daily basis. Football is one of the outlets our kids have to escape. From not having a place to call home, to working the night shift after practice to help your family pay rent, to maintaining a 4.0 GPA in hopes of getting into college to create a brighter future, our kids are as diverse and as tough as they come. They use their everyday to fuel their drive to succeed. When everyone else told them they were nothing and doubted their ability to achieve greatness, these kids perservered and proved all their doubters wrong. They truly personified our motto for this year "Why Not Santee, Why Not Us." We are asking you to donate what you can to help each athlete have a memento for a season they and the community will never forget.
