Thank you for your contributions to campus safety! We still need your help.
San Tan Charter School is committed to keeping our students safe. We would like to thank all the parents and community members who have supported this commitment. By close of 2018, our community donated almost $8,000 that helped pay for campus safety upgrades. Even though we didn't reach our goal of $40,000, we were able to put these funds to good use towards impact/shatter-resistant 3M Safety and Security Window Film on all the windows on the Recker campus. We also installed blackout curtains/magnets on all the classroom doors on both campuses.
The next phase of our campus security upgrades includes...
• Visitor Screening System for the Front Desks at the Power and Recker CampusesWe know this system is a important tool to keep kids safe, so San Tan has committed to setting up this system for the start of the 2019-2020 school year.
• Security Camera System for the Power and Recker Campuses
In May of 2019, San Tan invested in a new security camera system at the Power campus, consisting of 10 cameras. These cameras will monitor some exterior doors and common areas as a tool to help keep your kids safe. Depending on funding and donations from the community, we hope to install more cameras on both campuses.
• Impact/Shatter-Resistant Safety and Security Window Film for the Power Campus
As mentioned above, we installed safety film on the windows at the Recker campus. To match these safety measures across both campuses, we need to add this safety tool to the Power campus as well. How to help:
STCS isn't provided with sufficient state and federal funding to meet our security goals, so we're asking our community to contribute to help us get to our $40,000 goal to add these essential safety tools. We know how important it is to keep your kids safe, so we've already committed to many of these upgrades. With your help, we can install all these upgrades as we continue to focus on your child's education. For just $47 per student, these projects will be fully funded.
Thank you for your donation in this initiative to keep our students safe.
