Santa Fe Diner help after flood!

Donation protected
Hey, I'm Jess and my mom Lisa and I own and run the Santa Fe Diner. We were in the middle of having our kitchen floor rebuilt to fix some prior damage when we got flooded again on Sept. 20th. We ended up with about 6 inches of water inside of the building and everything outside swept away. We had everything moved and tore apart since the kitchen floor was being replaced. All of our freezers and refrigerators and the rest of our equipment got full of water. We still don't know what's going to work and what won't yet. Anyone that knows us knows that we've put our heart and soul into this business and this community since we took over in January of 2020. But we've had setback after setback. With covid hitting right after we opened and an old building full of equipment that hadn't been taken care of, we've had major expenses every time we turn around. With the prices of our food going up and replacing freezers, ice machines, steam tables, floors and everything else, we haven't been able to get ahead. We've tried not to increase our prices too much, but with the cost of meat and food going up like crazy, that's been really hard. We are extremely blessed and have had many volunteers to help us rebuild and repair things, but with not knowing how long its going to take and what all needs replaced we're getting a little worried. We still have all of our bills due this month and before we can reopen, we'll have a huge supply order since we have to replace all of our food after the flood. This is really hard to post asking for help.....especially when we're used to helping everyone else! If you can contribute anything, we'd greatly appreciate it! We've put everything we have into making this diner successful and being there for our community and it's been an honor serving everyone and we're forever grateful for everyone already! We would love to continue to build our business and grow in our community! Thanks for taking the time to read this.....even if you can't donate!
