Santa Clarita's Yoshinoya: Help Us Recover
Donation protected
Hello, we are the family that owned and operated Yoshinoya on Sierra Highway and Soledad Canyon Rd. in Santa Clarita since 2013. Early this morning on January 8, 2025, we received a call that Yoshinoya was on fire. There are investigations currently underway on the exact cause of the fire, but by around 6am, we learned that the fire had done irreversible damage and the building itself would have to be demolished. Our family watched in disbelief as the restaurant that has kept our family afloat and served this community for over a decade was torn apart in front of our eyes.
We are still in shock and processing - our family and all our employees in the Yoshinoya family. As of now, we're unsure of how things will progress and how soon Yoshinoya will be able to return. If you are able and willing, we would appreciate any support and prayers you can give as we assess damages and deal with the most immediate costs that come with a business (and many jobs) disappearing overnight, especially given the uncertainties of when and how an insurance claim may be able to help with the losses.
We apologize for the ruckus in the streets this morning as first responders came to the scene. And above all, we are so grateful to our loyal customers and the Santa Clarita community for allowing us to serve you our food for the past 12 years.
