My name is Miranda and I am fundraising for my sweet kitty Sansa. She has recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and it has taken quite a hit on us. She has always been my go to girl when I have needed support and now it is my turn to support her.
She is 10 going on 11 and has always been a bright, healthy girl, however over the last few months she has had 3 emergency vet visits. The first was after not eating for an entire week.
After a visit with x-rays and other diagnostics we were given some meds which helped her eat again but unfortunately gave us no answers.
Fast forward a few months and my partner and I moved only for her to have another visit. This one brought on by three days of vomiting. She was given some meds and things seemed to be looking up but that only lasted for two days. We woke up to her being sick again so we rushed her to the vet. After some more diagnostics she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and will now be on medication and strict food monitoring for the rest of her life. After being on meds for a month she is now back to her perky old self (including being sassy to our younger cat) however my partner and I are struggling with moving expenses as well as her growing vet bills.
Now onto Sansa's story; she was originally adopted from ARFS to be a companion to our oldest cat but alas Sofi decided she didn't want a younger sister so Sansa eventually bonded to me. I have always struggled with mental health issues and now progressing physical health issues but through it all she has always been my best friend and there when I needed her. She is a goofy girl and loves her catnip. She loves waking me up for cuddles by smacking my face until I come to and give her love, which is only fitting since I constantly do the same (obviously not smacking her face). She has helped me through countless trying times and hardships and now it is time for me to help her. But unfortunately funds are very tight with the move and my declining health so I am asking for help with getting her back to her full true self. Even if you can't contribute financially, a simple share will help get our story out there. All help is appreciated.
