In all honesty this was and is a hard thing to do. For my life I (Adebisi Agoro II) have always been independant and have always had an issue asking others to help me personally. Reason being is because for those around me i have always been the one helping. I guess the tables have turned. As you all know by now i lost my son, my light and my love at the beginning of last summer to a tragic camping accident which turned my world upside down. Due to the fact that i am a father and provider i havent had the proper time, place nor resources to regroup and heal properly. I am asking for all those who may know my story to help in any kind of way so that i may take some time off to go to Nigeria to visit my Grandprents gravesites so that i can bring some of my sons belongings to place alongside his ancestors. I titled my campaign Sankofa for healing because Sankofa means in order to move forward one must return to the past. I am attempting to heal and gather myself by returning to our great past in Africa in order to move forward with clarity. I don’t speak much about my struggles emotionally and mentally revolving around this tradgedy however these have been the hardest months of my entire life. Everyday is a struggle to deal with the reality that i will never ever in this life get the chance to talk to, see or hug my one and only son. I always looked forward to one day having the oportunity to take my son to Africa to see his people. This dream can now never be acheived. The least i can do in his memory is to take a piece of his legacy to rest alongside his ancestors. I would appreciate anyone with a heart to help spread this campaign and if possible help towards the cause by donating. Be Well. #Bodundeworld
