On Tuesday 8/9/16 one of our former wrestlers was taken from us way too soon in an ATV accident. I do not have children of my own and cannot begin to understand the pain this family is facing but losing one of my guys that I watched grow up is the closest I can come to relating to the tragedy of losing a child. The young man we lost was an outstanding person, athlete, and friend. He had an infectious smile and laugh that was contagious to all those around him, he had a personality that was truly larger than life and brightened a room upon entering. He was the type of person that would run through a wall for you if asked, without hesitation, the type of kid that you embrace having on your field or in your room as one of your athletes and students.

In the midst of this tragedy is the young man's grandparents, who helped raise him along with his siblings. These fine people are the reason I had the privilege of teaching and coaching this remarkable young man for the last half of decade. As many of us know the pain of losing a loved one does not stop at the emotional and psychological pain but is often followed by financial hardships associated with the loss. Here in lies why I am reaching out to all of you and sharing this unfortunate news; to help. If you are able to assist in anyway so that this young man's family is able to provide an adequate service to celebrate his life they, I, and an entire community would be beyond grateful.
