Wayne State's Public Health Student Organization is collecting donations to help the family of our dear classmate and friend, Saniya Khan. Saniya tragically and unexpectedly passed away on March 16, 2023. She was nearing the completion of her MPH degree and gearing up for what was sure to be an impressive career in improving community health. Saniya impacted classmates, professors, and colleagues at Wayne with her vibrant and kind disposition, and she will truly be missed by us all.

In collaboration with Saniya’s sister Zahra and friends from the MPH program, the Public Health Student Organization is collecting donations to help cover the cost of Saniya’s funeral expenses. As her family is already navigating unspeakable tragedy, we as a community can help by alleviating some of their unexpected financial burden. Please consider donating if you can, any amount truly helps.
