Sanierung der Klärgrube im Tierheim -Schließung droht-

Mein Name ist Christiane und ich bin Schriftführerin des gemeinnützigen Vereins "Aegean Dogs e.V." und frage euch darum nach Spenden. Da man alleine aber wenig erreichen kann, haben wir, eine Gruppe von Adoptiveltern von Hunden und Katzen aus Griechenland, uns zusammen geschlossen und haben diesen Verein als Förderverein für die Tiere auf Aegina gegründet.
Ehrenamtlich und auch finanziell helfen wir gemeinsam seit über 20 Jahren gegen das Problem der Straßenhunde und wenn es finanziell möglich ist auch den Straßenkatzen auf der Insel Aegina in der Nähe von Piraeus bei Athen.
Es werden Schwerpunkte gesetzt wie: Aufklärung vor Ort, Besuche in Schulen, Informationsstände bei öffentlichen Veranstaltungen, Kastrationsaktionen, Übernahme von OP-Kosten von Straßentieren, Aufnahme in das privat geführte Tierheim, Vermittlung von Hunden, Reparaturmaßnahmen.
Das Tierheim bietet auch nicht vermittelbaren Hunden einen Rückzugsort, um in Würde alt zu werden.
Hier kann man sich einen Eindruck von dem Refugium verschaffen:
Eine zeitnah anstehende Reparatur macht uns jetzt sehr große Sorgen, denn die anfallenden Kosten als Non Profit Organisation finanziell, neben allen anderen Kosten die ein Refugium mit sich bringt, zu stemmen, ist ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit.
Die Klärgrube im Tierheim muss dringend überholt, repariert und in erster Linie von dem zu Beton getrockneten Hundekot befreit werden. Bei dem ursprünglichen Bau der Anlage hätte niemand geglaubt, dass diese große Grube mal voll werden würde!
Wir würden uns sehr freuen, wenn Ihr uns mit einer Spende unterstützen würdet. Jeder Euro und jeder Cent bringt uns ein Stück näher zur Verwirklichung des Projekts.
Warum müssen wir die Klärgrube so dringend instand setzen? Sollte diese in absehbarer Zeit nicht mehr ihre Funktion erfüllen, laufen wir Gefahr unsere Betriebserlaubnis für das Tierheim zu verlieren. Das Tierheim müsste schließen.
My name is Christiane and I am the secretary of the non-profit organization “Aegean Dogs e.V.” and therefore I am asking you for donations. However, as little can be achieved alone, we, a group of adoptive parents of dogs and cats from Greece, have joined forces and founded this association as a support organization for the animals on Aegina.
For over 20 years, we have been working together on a voluntary and financial basis to help with the problem of street dogs and, if financially possible, street cats on the island of Aegina near Piraeus near Athens.
The focus is on areas such as On-site education, visits to schools, information stands at public events, neutering campaigns, covering the surgery costs of street animals, taking them into the privately run animal shelter, placing dogs, and repair measures.
The shelter also offers dogs that cannot be rehomed to a place to retreat to so that they can grow old with dignity.

We are now very worried about the imminent repair, because as a non-profit organization, it is impossible to cover the costs financially, in addition to all the other costs that a refuge entails.
The septic tank in the shelter urgently needs to be overhauled, repaired and, first and foremost, cleaned of the dog excrement that has dried into concrete. When the facility was originally built, nobody would have believed that this large pit would ever fill up!

Why do we need to repair the septic tank so urgently? If it no longer fulfills its function in the foreseeable future, we run the risk of losing our operating license for the animal shelter. The animal shelter would have to close.
