As a few of you already know our amazing mother Terry was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma last September 2020. She was in bad shape before her diagnosis she couldn’t walk, move or do anything for herself due to the lesions on her spine. It wasn’t as simple as getting a diagnosis and moving right to chemotherapy. Her body was angry and her metabolic levels were so out of whack it took a couple weeks of in-patient care to get her ready for her chemo treatment and because of this cancer she was high risk of broken bones they went ahead and put a metal rod in each of her femurs. All the while she had Bell’s palsy on her left side of her face.
She finished chemo in February and had six weeks to wait for the chemo to leave her body in order get a PET scan to see if the chemo did its job. We were over the moon to get news that there were no signs of the cancer and she could return to work. Her doctor actually said she was in remission but within a few weeks she was admitted back into the hospital and told that it has traveled to her right kidney, left lung and her nasal area of the brain. Which explains why she had pain in her eye, excruciating headaches and double vision that actually began just before she was told she was in remission but apparently the multiple scans she had didn’t detect it.
Needless to say, the fight is back on! She had her first round in a 3-cycle chemo treatment two weeks ago. She is currently back in the hospital being treated for issues being caused by the chemo. Her platelets are extremely low and her white blood cells are almost completely gone. As if she hasn’t endured enough there is a small blockage in her small intestine and her large intestine is enlarged.
We have reached a point where we have used every financial avenue available to her through her job. She has been denied disability because she hasn’t worked since August 2020 and for it to go into effect, she would have to work at least one day even though she is on medical leave. We are having to travel 100 miles a day to be by her side and we are getting close to losing our only reliable source of transportation. She has appointments twice a week for hydration and is also having problems with her esophagus that’s preventing her from eating and drinking.
So we are reaching out to family and friends in the hope of some help to keep her financially afloat until she can get back on her feet again. Any amount would be greatly appreciated beyond what words could even say!

P.S. All help is welcomed so feel free to share!
