Hi everyone my name is Saleemah Abdullah with SANFAN (See A Need Fill A Need) Charities.
I wanted to share with you the reasons why I feel compelled to help those in need. I am a 38 year old mother of 11 children, 6 girls and 5 boys. I have been a victim physical abuse and seen the affects of drug addiction in my home. Everything I've experienced in my past has lead me to be who I am today. With an awareness and burning desire to give children and adults the necessary skills it takes to be successful with anything they do. SANFAN Charities mission is to help high risk and underprivelaged youth and adults have a safe environment that is condusive to growth. We give the tools needed to build self worth and demolish depression and the affects of peer pressure. We also help people who have indulged in drug use seperate their addiction from who they are as a person by building their moral, self image and self esteem. We also want to give college students that major in social development the ablity to earn credit while getting the neccessery experience needed to be successful. Our goal is to create pillars of the community and productive citizens. SANFAN Charties was created from a vision of there being no more high risk youth and adults. Giving a vision that just because you are from poverty stricken community it doesn't mean you have to become a product of your environment.
We are a 501c 3. Having this status helps us receive grants and other funding that will allow us to have a facility and homes to help more people such as the homeless, seniors, veterans also. I have been able to help family members , friends and neighbors with the limited resources that I have. These funds will change many more lives. Please help me to stop the next generation from falling victim to their environment by helping me fund my DREAM OF CHANGING MINDSETS and showing children and adults that if giving a broad enough picture that there is a better way.
