My aunt is one of the strongest and kindest people I know, but she’s now facing the toughest battle of her life, Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. Back in May, she was bitten by a tick and quickly started showing flu like symptoms, muscle weakness, cramps, swelling, and even up to stroke like paralysis. By mid-June, she was experiencing tremors, foot drop, and other symptoms. She later received the diagnosis of rocky mountain spotted fever. By mid-July, she was sent to the ER, they did scans, and it revealed a brain mass. While she was in the ICU, they did 18 biopsies, but never gave official pathology results. After going to rehab and getting back for another scan, in mid-August, we got an official diagnosis of “Glioblastoma Multi Forme/WHO Grade 4 Glioma”, an aggressive form of terminal brain cancer. She has always been the one to show up for others, and now it’s our turn to show up for her. Donations will go directly toward her medical treatments and future expenses as she navigates this journey. Every contribution, big or small, helps ease her burden and reminds her that she’s not fighting alone.
