Hi friends and family,

If you've made it this far, then I'm sure you're aware that I have recently been diagnosed with stage three pancreatic cancer (adenocarcinoma). I know that this sounds scary, and it is. However, through conversations with my doctors, a very rigorous treatment plan, love and support from my family, and prayer with God, I am confident and ready to beat this. The ultimate goal with this cancer is to remove the tumor on my pancreas. At this stage, the tumor is not at the safest or most optimal position to remove. To get it to this point, we have to start with chemotherapy to shrink the tumor enough to safely operate and remove it. My oncologist is recommending we start with a two month round of chemotherapy, at which point, we will repeat scans and check on tumor size and position. Then, the team will come together and determine the most appropriate steps and direction for treatment.

While I have health insurance, there are bound to be a lot of unknown expenses and loss of wages because of treatments and other care. As you all probably know, asking for help is not something I am very comfortable with, but at the urging of my family and requests for ways to help, I decided to set this up. If you're able to contribute financially, or support through prayer in any way, big or small, it would mean more than you know.
