Dear friends and family,
I would first like to thank everybody for sending your condolences and prayers to Shirley and her family as well as for my son Jalen and our family. I greatly appreciate all messages and support we have received during this tough time. This has been a shock for us as it has been for all you beautiful people and we are trying to understand and wrap our heads around everything. I have greatly received many messages not only from our close friends and relatives but from the many of friends Sandy and Shirley have. All your messages have been comforting as we know we are not alone.
I I have set up this fund me page to help support and raise money that Shirley may need for medical expenses, funeral cost, food and basic cost of living. Funds raised will also help Shirley's family with travel expenses as many of her relatives have had to book costly last minute flights.
Shirley and Sandy have had a roller coaster of a story over these past several years. They had lost their daughter/sister Laurel nearly 20+ years ago, a loss that I know Sandy had struggled with , for she was her only sibling. Unfortunately tragedy would strike again about 6 years ago when Mike "Mr. B" Sandys dad would also be called back home. I know Sandy was very sad and we would sit for hours and she would tell me many great stories of them. We would sit and talk and Sandy would tell me stories about her days in school, when she was in high school and her crazy adventures. Of course we would sit and laugh because Sandys story were just hilarious and she was just crazy and fun. She was definitely the life of the party as many of you know. She and my son were very close and I know he was a beacon of light for her and he brought a whole new meaning of life to her daily routine. There was no doubt the amount of love she had for him and was always proud of everything he did. She made it a point to be a part of his daily routine and they just loved and enjoyed hanging out with each other playing and laughing all day. I would often have to remind them he has to come home now and that play time was over. I couldn't be more thankful for all she has done for us.
I know she not only touched his life but many of you with her big warm smile and positive look on life. She was all about having a good time, rocking out and making people happy and of course Bon Jovi.
Together, with your help, we can all stand behind Shirley and be her beacon of light in these darkest of times. Any donation you can make will make a difference to help sustain our dear friend Shirley. Shirley and Sandy meant the most to each other and Sandy would appreciate everybody being there for her mom in her absence. If can please help and donate, also please share and spread the word.
