This is the family and friends of Sandy at Rhea Harbor.
Sandy passed on April 28th, 2023 peacefully with her family and friends by her side.
She was known for her love of people, cooking and willingness to help in any way she could. Spending time with her grandchildren was a highlight for her. She also loved and protected the community of Watts Bar Lake. She supported several local agencies. She had a special heart for the TWRA officers and their work with the kids' fishing rodeo. She was always willing to provide a lollipop for any child or adult who wore a lifejacket while on the lake; She would make a "pinky promise" to wear it the entire time in the boat and on the docks, with a reward of the lollipop being earned once they were back and reported in! She loved their excitement!!
This is why, in lieu of flowers, the family asks to support a memorial fund to supply TWRA officers with free kids’ life jackets and lollipops to distribute to promote safe boating and to carry on Sandy’s legacy: a “Pinky Promise” to wear a life jacket.
God Bless
