June of 2020 my Mom found out she was about to battle Cancer for the third time! Her numbers were higher than ever before, but she’s a fighter and we knew she could do it again. She had only been off Chemo for a few months and it came back very aggressively! Chemo begun and she was able to get a few rounds in and it seemed to be going well. Until, she was laid off in October. With insurance still in the works and trying to figure out EDD, my Mom had to continue treatment. The hospital bills racked up! Then the fight took a sudden turn when she tested positive for Covid-19. She was unable to do Chemo for four weeks because she was so sick. Thankfully, she was able to fight it and didn’t have to be hospitalized. Once she was healthy enough, Chemo began again. It was only three treatments in and she wasn’t healthy enough for it. She was loosing weight day by day and getting weaker and weaker. Christmas Eve came and we knew something wasn’t right. The check-ins became consistent and she was not doing well. Finally, us kids emailed her doctor and the next morning they called saying take her to the ER immediately. She was trying to be so strong and kept how she was really feeling from everyone. She is the most loving, kind hearted person and didn’t want to burden anyone. We took her to the ER last week on Tuesday, two surgeries and eight days later, she’s still there. It hasn’t been easy! Today she had her second surgery and we pray this will work. Doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what is going on. We think there is a plan in place and are hopeful.
If you are able to contribute it will greatly help with the hospital bills, her recovery and peace of mind. If you are not able to, your prayers for her to beat this are appreciated more than you know!
Love,
Her three kids
