I've known Sandy for over 25 years. She is one of the kindest, hardest working and most dedicated people I know. She would always help someone in need, and now she is the one in need.

On May 24, 2021 in Warren, RI, Sandy was involved in an attack by her mentally ill son with a hammer that left her in critical condition. She has severe damage to her skull and has lost one eye, and she might lose the other too. Her kidneys and liver are in critical condition from blood loss. Her recovery will be long, difficult, and since she just left her job she lost her health insurance. 

Sandy worked in the medical field and spent her life caring for others. She worked at the VA in New Bedford for almost 20 years. 

Sandy gave everything she could to those in need. Anything you can give her will be so appreciated.
